Announcing the 8th Annual BOWL-A-RAMA for Animal Rescue on Saturday, August 7th at the AMF Scottsdale Lanes.  Ninety rescues participate in this PACC911 (Phoenix Animal Care Coalition) event.

Last year the overall winner was a Rat Rescue -- yes, you read it correctly.  Rats don't require special trailers to pick up and haul them, a large amount of space to house and exercise them, or large volumes of feed to rehabilitate them, all of which are necessities when rescuing a horse.

AMF Scottsdale Lanes is at 7300 E Thomas Rd (just E. of Scottsdale Rd).  Our time to present our table, shout our cheer, and have our young volunteers bowl is 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  The event is Saturday, August 7.

How you can help us win over that Rat Rescue:

1) Give us suggestions for a clever "cheer" -- needs to rhyme and say what the Luv Shack is about.  There is prize money for the best "cheer".

2) Help us with costumes -- there is prize for best costumes, probably for 10-12 people.  It need not be too elaborate but should represent what we do

3) Table decorations -- we are given a round 5-6 foot table to decorate -- we won this last year, maybe because we also had some small cupcakes we gave away  :-)

4) Help get sponsors on the Pledge Forms.  There will be some forms at the Ranch or you can download one at the PACC911 website at http://www.pacc911.org/uploads/BARPledgeForm10.pdf

P.S.  Supporting this event helps the Luv Shack Ranch request emergency medical money.  This year we used it for Maya (whose foal was stillborn) and for Solo (baby goat whose leg had to be amputated).
