Our Mission
Mission Statement
The Luv Shack Ranch Horse Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected and slaughter bound horses with the ultimate goal of finding each animal a loving, forever home. Additionally, we are committed to creating therapeutic programs for at risk children to help them heal from similar circumstances. Our goal is to serve the community by providing the opportunity for the horse and children to heal one another physically, mentally and emotionally.
Objectives
The Luv Shack Ranch Rescue Volunteer Staff’s overall goal is two-fold:
Horses
- Rescue abused, neglected and/or slaughter-bound horses
- Provide immediate medical care for sick or injured horses
- Provide on-going rehabilitation for rescued horses
- Provide a safe haven for rescued horses that are unadoptable
- Adopt rehabilitated horses out to safe, loving, forever homes
- Guarantee humane euthanasia for animals with untreatable pain or suffering
Children
- Encourage emotionally, mentally and physically handicapped and at risk children and adults through equine interaction
- Build knowledge, respect and healing for them alongside the rehabilitated horse
- Promote direct involvement with programs designed specifically for these children and adults
The objectives of The Luv Shack continue to be the rescue of equines and incorporation of programs that will match the community’s needs. At the same time, to implement educational programs that will promote a more humane approach to encourage the growth of kind, compassionate individuals. These people will in turn foster a well-adjusted family environment that will inspire communities to thrive.
